The mind has probably ruled your life in many, many situations. It has many protections in place that may not be serving you as well as they originally did. Meditation has different meaning to each of us. It could be an escape from reality or a way to just calm the mind. The term “mindfulness” has become more common and is an excellent way to give the brain something to do that doesn’t involve the body. It’s not about ignoring our thoughts… it’s more about incorporating and metabolizing feelings created by our thoughts.
